2. Who can use the site

The site is intended for use by adults (18+) accessing it from Australia in connection with Australian business asset finance. We do not target consumers, minors, or readers in jurisdictions where the content would not be appropriate. If you access the site from outside Australia, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws.

3. The site is general information, not advice

Everything published on Asset Finance Help is general information about Australian business asset finance products. It is not:

• Personal financial advice (general or personal).
• Credit assistance under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth).
• Tax advice or legal advice.
• A recommendation to enter into any specific finance product or with any specific lender or broker.
• A quote, offer, pre-approval or commitment to lend.

Before acting on anything you read here, consider whether it applies to your circumstances and obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional - a licensed credit assistance provider, a registered tax agent, a lawyer, or an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holder, depending on the advice you need.

4. Permitted use

You may use the site to:

• Read and reference our content for your own personal, business or professional purposes.
• Print or download a reasonable number of pages for non-commercial research or to share with a client, adviser or colleague, provided our attribution and copyright notices remain intact.
• Link to our pages from your own site or social channels using accurate, non-misleading link text.
• Submit a genuine enquiry through our contact channels.

You must not:

• Copy, republish, reproduce, scrape, harvest or systematically extract substantial portions of the site's content without our prior written consent. Limited quotation with attribution is permitted under fair dealing.
• Use any part of our content to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine-learning or generative AI model without our prior written consent.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) on the site other than search engine crawlers that respect our robots policy, or in a way that disproportionately loads our infrastructure.
• Submit false, misleading or impersonating information through enquiry forms.
• Use the site, our contact details or any introduction to a broker for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, money laundering, or breach of sanctions.
• Interfere with the operation of the site or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
• Frame, mirror or present the site or its content as your own.
• Remove or obscure copyright, trade mark, attribution or other proprietary notices.

5. Enquiries and introductions

When you submit an enquiry, we may use the information you provide to respond and - if you have consented to a referral - to introduce you to an accredited broker partner. How those introductions work is set out in our Disclosures and how the information is handled is in our Privacy Policy.

Submitting an enquiry does not create a credit application, a credit assessment, a commitment by any broker or lender, or an obligation on you to proceed with anything. You can withdraw at any time.

6. Third-party links and references

We link to third-party websites (the ATO, ASIC, AFCA, RBA, AASB, IFRS, OAIC and others) to support claims and direct you to authoritative sources. We don't control those sites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices of third-party sites, and a link does not imply endorsement.

7. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, all content on the site - text, layout, graphics, code, design, the "Asset Finance Help" name and logo, and the selection and arrangement of materials - is owned by or licensed to Asset Finance Help and protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.

Permission for limited use is set out in section 4 (Permitted use). All other rights are reserved. Requests for licences (for example, to republish a section or to use a chart) should be sent to support@assetfinancehelp.com.au.

8. Disclaimer and accuracy

We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate and current, in accordance with our Editorial Policy and Methodology. However:

• Information is general only and may not apply to your specific circumstances.
• Rate ranges, fees, ATO thresholds, accounting standards and legislative references change. We update on a documented cycle but markets and rules can move between reviews.
• Worked examples are illustrative; your actual outcome depends on lender assessment.
• Links and references to third-party material may become out of date.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide the site on an "as is" and "as available" basis and exclude all warranties, conditions and guarantees (express or implied) other than those that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any loss or damage (including consequential, indirect or economic loss) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content.
• We are not liable for any acts, omissions, advice, conduct or services of any third party - including any broker, lender, accountant or other adviser - to whom you may be introduced or referred from this site.
• Where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the relevant content or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

Nothing in these terms purports to exclude or limit any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, damage or cost (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of:

• Your breach of these terms.
• Your misuse of the site or its content.
• Information you provide to us that is false, misleading, infringes a third party's rights or is otherwise unlawful.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site (in whole or in part, for any user or all users) at any time, with or without notice, where we reasonably consider it necessary - including for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or to address misuse.

12. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the federal courts of Australia in relation to any matter arising under or in connection with these terms or the site.

14. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be read down or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. These terms (together with the documents they reference) constitute the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the site.
